When Women Build, Spokane Thrives — Presented by STCU
[SPOKANE, Wash.] – October 1, 2025 — Habitat for Humanity-Spokane’s Women Build returns October 8–11 in the City of Spokane, and community members are invited to volunteer, support, and celebrate this four-day build dedicated to creating safe, healthy, permanently affordable homes.Women Build is a twice-a-year tradition in Spokane. Each March and October, women and community partners come together to build affordable homes, open doors to homeownership, and create lasting change for families. This fall, you’re invited to join us on the build site. Whether you’ve built before or this is your first time, your hands, your voice, and your fundraising will make a difference.

“Supporting Women Build honors the generations of women who refused to accept that stability was out of reach. When we raise walls together, we raise hope — and build a future where every woman and every family can stand on the solid ground of home.” — Michelle Girardot, CEO of Habitat for Humanity-Spokane
More than 60% of Habitat-Spokane homebuyers are women heads of household. These women are building stronger futures for their families, proving every day that safe, affordable homeownership changes lives.
Women Build is our community’s celebration of that strength. Twice a year, we come together to lift walls, open doors, and create more opportunities for families across Spokane County. When women build, we don’t just construct homes — we build hope, equity, and a brighter future.
As the 2025 Presenting Sponsor, STCU plays a critical role in making Women Build possible. Their ongoing support helps raise awareness about the unique challenges women face in homeownership and ensures that more modest-income families can achieve stability through affordable housing.
“By combining our networks, ideas, and efforts, we share in the good work of Habitat for Humanity in Spokane. Rallying together, we raise awareness for the unique challenges that women face in homeownership.” — Jessica Golladay, VP of Consumer Underwriting at STCU and Chair of Habitat-Spokane’s Women Build Steering Committee
Habitat-Spokane is deeply grateful for STCU’s leadership in this effort. Their commitment to strengthening communities through financial education and homeownership opportunities aligns with Habitat’s vision of a world where everyone has a safe and affordable place to live.
In addition to STCU’s leadership as Presenting Sponsor, Habitat-Spokane is grateful for the support of other key partners, including Inland Group, Traci Bemis Real Estate, the Kalispel Tribe and Northern Quest Resort & Casino. Their support helps Habitat-Spokane continue building safe, stable homes and empowering women across our community.
