Our Community is in an Active Wildfire Emergency
Habitat for Humanity-Spokane is focused first on the safety of our homeowners, future homeowners, staff, volunteers and active sites. We are checking on those who may be affected and coordinating with local emergency and recovery partners.
Habitat-Spokane is not a first-response shelter or emergency-relief provider. We are not currently deploying volunteers, accepting disaster goods or promising repair or rebuilding assistance. Our likely role will come in the housing recovery that follows the immediate response, when the community’s needs and our capacity are clearer.
For evacuation, shelter and immediate safety information, please follow Spokane Regional Emergency Communications and Spokane County Emergency Management. We will share verified Habitat updates when there is useful information to provide.

- The KREM Cares Help 2 Northwest is partnering with the Red Cross, STCU and Rosauers to raise money for organizations that will provide aid.

The City of Spokane’s H.O.M.E. Starts Here Fund has been temporarily designated to support individuals and families affected by the ongoing wildfires. Every dollar donated will go directly toward helping meet immediate needs and support recovery efforts for those impacted.

The Innovia Foundation is accepting monetary donations to its Spokane Complex Wildfire Response Fund to support immediate and long-term needs for those affected by the fire.

Humane Evacuation Animal Rescue Team (HEART) is collecting monetary donations to help animals affected

Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington is accepting monetary donations for an emergency fund to help support the individuals and families impacted by the Spokane Complex Fires.

STCU is matching donations to its Here for Good Foundation, up to a total of $100,000. All donations will then go to Innovia’s Spokane Complex Wildfire Response Fund. The bank will also offer disaster relief loans through October 31.

Second Harvest Inland Northwest will accept donations of non-perishable food (1234 E. Front Avenue).

The Fairchild Air Force Base Emergency Family Assistance Center is accepting donations from those with base access at the Red Morgan Center from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Clothing donations are paused, but people can still donate things like water, toilet paper, socks, baby wipes, new underwear, and toiletries.
- Spokanimal is accepting donations of dog, cat, kitten & puppy food, and blankets and towels. They are also seeking foster homes for animals displaced by the fires.

Project Beauty Share is collecting new, unopened hygiene items for families and firefighters. Donations can include shampoo & conditioner; toothbrushes & toothpaste; feminine hygiene products; soap, body wash & body wipes; razors & lotion; lip balm; deodorant; hairbrushes & combs. Donations can be dropped off at 2718 E. Sprague Ave. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Global Neighborhood Thrift & Vintage is accepting clothing donations at its Fire Emergency Donation Bins at both its retail store and donation drive-through, and will offer free clothing vouchers for those affected by the fires.

Partners Inland Northwest is accepting donations of nonperishable food, clothing, diapers, hygiene items and financial gifts at its Spokane Valley location (10814 E. Broadway Ave.) that will be distributed to those affected by the fire.

The Spokane Homeless Coalition is accepting donations at 527 S. Cannon of pre-packaged food, homemade sandwiches, water, hydration packets, blankets (used but washed), underwear/socks, men’s clothing, and women’s clothing.

Gonzaga University is collecting donations of food, comfort items, personal care items, household basics and more at its Hemmingson Center (702 E Desmet Ave.).

The Filipino American Northwest Association has partnered with the Asian Community Center and Nourish Spokane to collect donations of clean, gently used clothing; blankets & bedding; toiletries & personal hygiene items; baby supplies; non-perishable food; pet food & pet supplies; household goods & kitchen essentials at 205 N. University Rd. Drop-off hours are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
