When women build, Spokane thrives

Women Build is a twice-a-year tradition in Spokane. Each March and October, women and community partners come together to build affordable homes, open doors to homeownership, and create lasting change for families.

Everyone is welcome!

Women Build gives us an opportunity to bring our collective time, skills and networks together around housing and the disparities that continue to shape who has access to homeownership. Bring your coworkers, organization or community group together and spend a day building alongside women who want to make a tangible contribution to Habitat’s work in our community.

You do not need construction experience to participate. Everyone of different skill levels and backgrounds can come together, learn on the build site and contribute their time to Habitat’s work while increasing the visibility of women in a field where they remain significantly underrepresented.

Must be at least 16 years old to participate.

Why Women Build?

More than 60% of Habitat-Spokane homebuyers are women heads of household. These women are building stronger futures for their families, proving every day that safe, affordable homeownership changes lives.

Women Build is our community’s celebration of that strength. Twice a year, we come together to lift walls, open doors, and create more opportunities for families across Spokane County.

When women build, we don’t just construct homes — we build hope, equity, and a brighter future.
