In 2023, volunteers contributed over 11,000 hours of their time in the Habitat-Store and on the job sites.
Our volunteers have helped build over 400 affordable homes!
Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Individual volunteers play a huge role in the success of Habitat for Humanity-Spokane. Volunteering with us is a great way to learn new skills, meet new people, and have fun while helping strengthen our community.
There are opportunities to volunteer with Habitat year-round. You can sign up to volunteer at the Habitat Store or join us on the construction site building homes.
Work in the Habitat Store
The Habitat Store serves our work of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. One hundred percent of proceeds from donations of new and gently used items help fund our mission.
The Store depends on enthusiastic volunteers to help with customers, stocking and pricing items, and arranging merchandise. Whether you prefer interacting with the public or working behind the scenes, we have a volunteer opportunity for you!
Volunteer hours at the Store are FLEXIBLE! You can come for one hour, a half-day, or a full day! Set your schedule anytime between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
Every volunteer must register online & accept our waiver.
Work on the Job Site
Come build with us and bring Spokane back together to build affordable housing!
Habitat for Humanity-Spokane has multiple job sites open and ready for volunteers! Help build affordable homes – NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Volunteering with Habitat-Spokane is an amazing way for your company, church, community organization, or group of friends to bond in a unique and rewarding way.
Each year we host several group volunteer days. Groups come out for a number of reasons, whether it’s for community service focused team-building or because they are looking for a fun way to give back to their community. For many companies, it’s a great way to foster employee engagement while participating in charitable giving.
Group commitments range and some group volunteer opportunities require financial sponsorship while others do not.
All types of groups – corporate, faith based, non-profit, education, civic and community groups—are encouraged to sign up!

NON-SPONSORED TEAM DAY
Individuals and small groups of friends are more than welcome to volunteer for a non-sponsored Habitat Team Day. Please schedule in advance with the Volunteer Coordinator. To participate as a group, we ask each individual to make a recommended minimum $50 donation to support Habitat’s mission of building homes, communities, and hope.
Community Service
Habitat-Spokane provides an opportunity for individuals to complete their community service hours. You can sign-up to volunteer on the job site or in the Habitat Store. Before volunteering, you must complete the required registration and volunteer paperwork.
