A matching gift is a charitable donation by your company or organization that matches your donation to Habitat for Humanity-Spokane, most often dollar for dollar, and therefore providing the opportunity to increase each dollar you donate to Habitat. Thousands of companies across the United States offer matching gift programs to their employees as part of a corporate giving philanthropy. This means millions of individuals are eligible to participate in a matching gift program. In addition, 65% of Fortune 500 companies offer a matching gift program and some companies even double, triple, or quadruple donations!
The main concept of matching gift programs is quite simple. A $100 donation to your organization is eligible to be matched by a corporate employer, literally doubling the donation for a total of $200.
Some companies will make a “matching gift” for the hours you volunteer.
How to Double Your Donation

Print or request your company’s matching gift form, or submit via your workplace intranet. Review the program guidelines to see whether Habitat for Humanity-Spokane is eligible.
